We are happy to have our summer scholarship recipients Nicola, Jake and Beatrice stay on with us for their honours this year.
Nicola is working on further characterising conjugative plasmids and their horizonal gene transfer in Staphylococcus aureus with help from Karina and Amy.
Jake is looking at interactions between regulatory domains of proteins involved in quorum sensing in Mesorhizobium japonicum with Karina, Callum and Tahlia.
Beatrice is further characterising DNA-binding proteins and their promoters which are also involved in quorum sensing of M. japonicum with Tahlia and Elena.
